WORKSHOP ABSTRACT 2017 *
We can use our attention in three directions simultaneously: inward, outward, and all around; sensing, feeling, and seeing; sensing my own existence; feeling myself in relation with others; seeing the meaning and purpose of what is present. Such an amazing ability!
To foster this ability we use a workshop methodology> developed from more than thirty-two years of workshop research. Our Gurdjieff 3.0™ methodology integrates meditation, music, and dance.
Our Dances> and Meditations> are accompanied by live piano music intentionally composed by Gurdjieff and De Hartmann, whose music supports conscious labor intentionally taken by us in support of a right reciprocal relationship with self, others, and world.
Under the experienced guidance of James Tomarelli and Friends> and within the matrix of a unique learning-how-to-learn methodology, Gurdjieff 3.0 workshops (formerly Dance as Vehicle workshops) invite participants to take an ever-deepening never-ending active part in creative work in the ever-expanding fullness of life.
We come to a threshold, a doorway begins to open. We are in a body, in space, with others, in search of imperishable being. We sense, feel, and know ourselves and self from inside out, from outside in, and in the world around. Such an amazing ability to practice and share together!
Be well,
James Tomarelli & the Next Generation of Friends>
